I am writing to apply for the position of sales assistant at your company, which was advertised in the Daily Post on 14 February 2012.
For the past two years I have worked as a sales assistant at a busy shoe store, where I have developed my customer service skills. Though I have greatly enjoyed this role, I am looking for a new challenge that will provide me with the opportunity to further develop my retail sales career.
