02 May 2013 Whether service tax is applicable on services of Hostel & Transportation provided by an Engineering college to students.

02 May 2013 before 1.3.13 the service tax was not applicable on the said services, but now yes it is applicable as in case of normal provider meaning there by exemption if any available on these services, then will be available
but will not be exempted for the reason being provided by a educational institution.
