09 October 2012 EPCG scheme enables an Indian manufacture to obtain capital goods at lower or nil rate of customs duty against commitment of export obligation. Under this scheme, capital goods can be imported for pre-production, production and post production at zero customs duty, subject to an export obligation of 6 times of duty saved under zero duty EPCG scheme.
