08 March 2009 Whether ESI is applicable only on factories or is it also applicable on service industry employing more than 20 people?

If an organisation has 25 employees out of which only 5 have wages less than 10000, in this case is it required to get those 5 employees registered under ESI and make appropriate contribution?

08 March 2009 Yes, All Industry having up to 20 employee must to take ESI Registration.
