26 November 2010 CA Club India is a very useful platform where people can share ideas and seek advise from experts.
However often it is noticed that the advise of expert does not answer the seekers, yet the question is set 'resolved' and it is closed. Sometimes it seems that the expert was not able to understand the question or he was not well aware of the matter being questioned. be it because of the lack of knowledge or expertise or lack of seriousness to the question or his role of an "expert", such practices defeat the very purpose of people interacting on CA ClubIndia.
My appeal to experts is that... please don't reply to a question without understanding it well, and please don't reply if you don't khow about the issue or can't understand the question itself.
Please remember giving a reply only for the sake of saying something or to earn "Hall of Fame" is not the pupose of the person questioning... the seeker wants help... a real help...

27 November 2010 Your appeal is entirely Correct. The main motto behind this expert section is to provide help to the person questioning.
If after reply of any expert you feel that your question has not been answered properly, you have the option to again reopen the query by posting your doubt and setting the new status as resolved.

I sincerely hope that all experts, including me, will give due respect to your request.

Its correct that a seeker can reopen any query.
I want to reiterate, to make my point calear to everybody - What I also want to mean that any Expert, if he is a true "Expert", should not jump in to any query without taking care of what the seeker wants and without any knowledge and expertise in subject of the question, and say anything just to say something and hold the query as "Resolved".
The real FAME would lie where any expert has satisfied the seeker... not in just incresing the number of replies to reach on the top of the list of HALL OF FAME.
Please note even one unsuitable or unfit or misguiding opinion has a meaning if anybody replies as an "Expert". Ofcourse, this is subject to the replies concerning disputable issues. It is rightly said by the great economist - where "six economists(mean it as "experts")gather, there are seven opinions".
The real opinion is one which is on the vary point of question and the after which any seeker, normally, need not think for opinion from other person.
EXPERTS, PLEASE COME FORWARD TO SHARE YOUR VIEWS.Are you really satisfied with the quality of opinion being given?

See there could always be a difference in interpretation by the expert and what the queriest intends to ask. So you always have a option to ask for futher clarification and keep the query open for views of other experts. We all here are to grow stronger by mutual exchange of knowledge and not for any hall of fame.

27 November 2010 Most of the expert at CAclub are either established professional or heading to be a professional (including me)in few months, except some of the then , expert are not here merely to earn "Hall of Fame" or that Ca club T shirt , if you think that an answer is not proper keep it open, and if some expert has given improper answer put your views in front of him via a PM or profile comment.
We all are here to help each other and enrich and get enriched our knowledge.

rather then commenting on sincerity of all experts better write a PM to the person who according to you [in your words ]"not able to understand the question or he was not well aware of the matter being questioned. be it because of the lack of knowledge or expertise or lack of seriousness to the question or his role of an "expert"

27 November 2010 Also in addition to above if wanted to answer for the same of being in hall of fame only without the lack of knowledge or expertise or lack of seriousness then there would not been more than 28,000 queries unresolved here.

27 November 2010 Unfortunately, it seems that the discussion i started has gone in wrong direction.
I wanted it to be a healthy one - without any intention to make any personal remark, sarcasm of questioning the professional capabilities of experts, in any way. -- Only to improve the quality of responses on the CAClubIndia.com -- in the larger interest of all those visiting here.
I appreaciate that there are innumerable replies which satisfied the seekers. Yet there are many replies which are superfluous or not addressing the letters and spirits of the question. This I have experienced over the past many years - not merely on one question only which Aditya has referred to.
There are other experts also who share with me.
DEAR MANMOHAN... please see that before the text quoted by me it is clearly mentioned ... "Sometimes it seems that"... Yet, I m sorry if i hurt your feeling, but the point is that how could my note be taken as, as you alleged, "commenting on sincerity of all experts". I can cite many examples in support of what i have stated. And why only a PM if an "expert" is giving opinion without due seriousness? I would suggest the experts as well as seekers to object such replies and rate every expert as per the quality of reply, but very carefully, and only if they could make teir point clear in the qn.
I would request the experts to be open minded enough, judge on the issue after going through a number of opinions given by other experts in the past.

28 November 2010 We all try to give best answer to your queries as per our understanding. I feel no of times questions are incomplete, or it is not understandable. In this situation , it is better to say mor clarification / information in stead giving the reply.
