20 March 2012 rate of Service tax that of 12% is written Finance Act itself......Notification dated 24.02.2009 which states effective rate of ST being 10% has been rescinded by new Notification dated 17.03.2012 ......and the new notification will come into effect w.e.f. 01.04.2012.Therefore, applicable date is 01.04.2012
