29 January 2016 WE being a body corporate entered into an comprehensive AMC for air conditioners with a sole proprietorship concern. the amount charged is Rs.31529/-(exclusive of any taxes). My query is this a works contract & what will be the service tax/vat amount to be charged in this bill. Plz help its urgent

29 January 2016 AMC is not a works contract - it is a pure service. Only ST should be charged. If you charge extra for spares sold, then VAT alone will come on the same.
