Allowability of fixed deposit deduction under section 80c

25 March 2013 whole fixed deposit amt. Allowed under section 80c? I invested in fixed deposit in f.y 2013-14 of rs. 300000 for one year in icici bank .shall I get deduction under section 80c?

26 March 2013 FY 2013-14 has not yet commenced so how did you invest??
in any case you will get max benefit of Rs. 1,00,000/- in the year of investment.

26 March 2013 the deposit is for a minimum period of 5 years and in a tax saver FD and not just any generic fd
