Allowabilities and disallowabilities of a sole practitioner

This query is : Resolved

15 April 2013 I have started my own practice as a sole practitioner that means I am working under my name and I didn't made any firm.
Please be kind enough to tell me whether can i sign a BALANCE SHEET having turnover less than one crore and also can i sign a statement of NET WORTH.

16 April 2013 If you are registered as holding COP with ICAI and also filled Form 18, you can do whatever work is done by Firm.

16 April 2013 Thank you sir.

Just one more confirmation.
In the enrollment letter that I received from institute, it was written that in case the member is starting practice in his own name and not under any proprietorship or partnership firm name, than he needs to send an intimation for the same to the institute.
I had send the required intimation.

will this work as well.

16 April 2013 In that case, you will use your name only. You cannot use any Firm name (either proprietorship or partnership).
Your appointment will also be in your individual name.

16 April 2013 Thanks a lot sir.
This really helped me.
