09 July 2010 Respected All,
My brother passed away on 6th of july 2010. His TDS deducted by a firm last year of Rs. 80,000/- on the receipt of Rs. 8 Lakh.
He has not received a single peny from the company so far. (Balacne of Rs. 720,000 is still at company). Now we have intimate the bank for account close.

Now question is how can i file his return? He is 31 year old, and single also. His father can file his return on his behalf? and claim the refund from income tax department? if yes please provide the procedure.
Thanks in advance to all of you.

09 July 2010 Since the expired person was single and have fatther, the father becomes representative assessee and you have to file as ESTATE of MR.X and you can receive the refund from income tax department. The father has to file regular return of estate of mr.x.
