Advice on address change

03 February 2012 Dear Sir,

My permanent address in institute's record is of my native place and I have shifted to Ahmedabad recently.

But I dont have any owned office/residence at ahmedabad. I am living in a rented house and operating from the same.

As a practising CA, I am confused as to which address, I should give on my letter head coz if I give my native address on letter head, it sounds odd.

In Institute's record, there are two types
1. Professional
2. Resident

Can I keep one address of native as resident and one address of ahmedabad as professional or vice versa in institute's record ?? Is it allowable?

For atleast next one year, it is difficult to have any place owned in ahmedabad so please advice.

Regards,
Bhargav

03 February 2012 You can do it as per convenience there is no restriction in it for providing two different address in Institute Record......But even if you provide residential address of ahmedabad.....there is no problem in it...because ICAI will send any documents/journals/correspondence on your professional address only as per my knowledge
