Whether the Assesse has to pay advance tax after considering the amount of relief(Rs. 5000?) ?

11 September 2017 No. While making payment of Advance Tax Rs 10000 not to be considered. Only if Tax Liability of a Tax Payer is Rs 10000/- or below, he is not required to pay any advance tax.

Further, Senior citizens, who are 60 years or older, and do not run a business, are exempt from paying advance tax.

12 September 2017 Sir , My Queston is whether one has to pay advance tax if his tax liability is below Rs.10,000 after claiming the relief of Rs. 5000? before claiming the relief the tax liability is Rs, 10384.
