Dear All I just wanted to gain some knowledge regarding advance licenses for import such eligibility, tenure, process to get it, documents required, time etc. pls help me out.

Advance Authorization Scheme ASS is one of the incentive schemes provided by Indian Government thorough its government agency called DGFT – Director General of Foreign Trade.
Under Advance authorization Scheme AAS, exporter can import raw-materials and related inputs under 100% duty exemption schemes. The importer has to approach DGFT who is the licensing authority under this category. Government fixes value addition as per the standard input-output norms. Once you fulfills the export obligation with the licensing authority, you can sell the manufactured products in domestic market.
for process for availing the advance licence :
Documents required for Advanced Authorisation are:
I.E. code copy RCMC Digital key Performa Invoice S.S.I. or IEM certificate Import Order copy/Re-export order copy Chartered accountant certificate
Value Addition: Minimum Value Addition is 15%.
Applicant shall file application online in ANF 4A. Same form is applicable where Standard Input Output Norms (SION) have been notified or on the basis of adhoc norms or on self declaration basis as per paragraph 4.07 of Hand Book of Procedures.
