26 December 2015 Dear sir,
A mfg concern had purchased A new machinery Rs. 350000/- on 23/5/2014 and was put to use on 2/6/2014, plz let me know can i avail 35% depreciation, 15% basic dep. And 20% Additional dep. If yes then which dep. Will be charged first basic or add. Dep. Also plzzzz calculate the both dep. As per above query.....

Calculation of depreciation :
Normal Depn : @15% on Rs.350000/- = Rs.52500/-
Additional DEpn @ 20% on Rs.350000/- = Rs 70000/-
Total DEpn = Rs. 122500/-
WDV Rs.227500/-
There is no concept like first charging of depn as now total depreciation will be considered.
