when the information about any particular account is not known, then such effect is temporarily given to suspense account. It happens mainly in case of bank payments and cheque deposits where in absence of the details of cheques issued or cheques received, the effect has to be given to suspense account. But when the information is received and the confusion is cleared, then the entry is rectified.
