one of my client filed i t return for a.y. 12-13 on 27/9/12 but on that time he has not paid tax of rupees 31450/- which is also not paid till today on 31/1/13 i t dept has issued notice u/s sec 226(3) for the attachment of saving account..
i wanted to know that i t dept has right to attach my clients account for that liability account..

Yes. Income Tax Department can attach the bank account in case of non payment of tax.

THERE IS ANY TAX LIMIT BEYOND THAT THEY CAN ATTACH THE ACCOUNT OF ASSESSEE..
