20 June 2008 can you explain the issues which leads to introduction of accounting standard 30?states the issues also?

27 June 2008 AS 30 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement and Limited Revisions to AS 2, AS 11 (revised 2003), AS 21, AS 23, AS 26, AS 27, AS 28 and AS 29

It is applicable to all the Companies (depending on application dates), which has financial instruments.

Please refer the recognition and measurement principles laid in AS 30 on ICAI website
