MY ASSESSEE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSE PROPERTY PURCHASE ONE LAND. CONSTRUCTION IS NOT STARTED TILL NOW AND WILL START IN FUTURE.
CAN HE CLAIMED STAMP DUTY UNDER SECTION 80C IN THE YEAR OF PURCHASE?

Yes. As per section 80C this deduction can only be claimed in the year the actual payment is made towards these expenses.

SIR BUT 80C ALLOWED ONLY FOR THE PURCHASE OF RESIDENTIAL HOUSE PROPERTY AND NOT ALLOWED OPEN PLOT AND MY ASSESSEE PURCHASE OPEN PLOT AND CONSTRUCTION IS YET TO BE STARTED IN FUTURE.

abhi. you are correct in your assessment of the provisions of section 80c. you cannot claim the deduction.
