For the above thing if I do not have any medical insurance for Parents and if I do any investigation related to blood, urine and any other test how much coverage can I get and what all documents I need to submit for this ??

01 July 2014 Even if you do not have any medical insurance for parents, you can get preventive health check up benefit upto Rs. 5000/-.
But note that this deduction is not per person but in the aggregate for all persons.
Also preventive health check up expenses may be incurred in cash.

01 July 2014 So u mean to say its 5000 for my parents...2500 each...how do i declare this do i need to keep the bills and give then as proofs as documents.

and in medical checkup what all can be done??any list ??

Does this also include me my wife and daughter under Preventive health check up ( Self).Please reply.

01 July 2014 you have to take bills and this is total Rs. 5000/- amount not fixed for per person. this include all family members.

01 July 2014 Thanks for the reply . See there are two sections in I.TAX one is preventive health check up (parents) and other is preventive health check up (self).

Now tell me for Parents 5000 which include my mom and dad.

For me 5000 which will include my daughter me and my wife...is that true??

Can I have yr mobile number so that I can get the clarification rt away or any medium of chat??

03 July 2014 As I said earlier, limit of Rs. 5000/- is applicable in aggregate for all persons i.e. inclusive of your parents and you and your spouse. It is not per person or a group of persons. Please read carefully sub section 2A of section 80D which was added w.e.f. 1.4.2013
