17 November 2011 will sec 234c attract if taxable income is lessthan Rs.10,000.

17 November 2011 Section 234C is a section which imposes interest on Income Tax when the advance tax is required to be deposited but not deposited. In your case Rs. 10000 is an income not a tax , section 234C will not be attracted....
