29 October 2010 Dear Sir,
my friend has started the company 01.06.2010 and has done job work, but has not got PAN number at that time. so the contractor deducted 20% tds for two months And later he got his PAN number.
whether this 20% tds is claimable?

29 October 2010 Yes and ask the person who has deducted TDS to file revise return for the quarter in which payment was made and incoporate his PAN in the same so that the same can be claimed by you.
