2 PAN Number alloted for 1 person

I want to know that, how can I surrender a extra PAN card, that has been alloted by the department.

I have 2 PAN number alloted in my name and is there any penalty regarding this.

Please help me ASAP.

07 May 2010 Penalty of Rs.10000 attract for having 2 pan in one name.
You have surrender 1 Pan no which you are not using.
