27 June 2017 Gst rate for HSN code 3404 appears under 18% and 28% also. Which rate to considered for 3404?

27 June 2017 see 34 is for Soap, organic surface active agents, washing preparations, lubricating preparations, artificial waxes, prepared waxes, polishing or scouring preparations, candles and similar articles, modelling pastes, dental waxes and dental preparations with a basis of plaster.
within that 04 stands for artificial waxes and prepared waxes...... generally this is 18% unless a subsequent grouping is notified like 340401...340402 and so on
Till then you can go with 18%

Why this HSN Code 3404 appears as it is under 18% also and under 28% also?? So is the confusion...

28 June 2017 yes, that is bit confusive.....but they will come up with the details as to what is included under 28%
