10B deduction

13 May 2008 In case lease of STPI unit is expiring on Jan 09 can we claim 10B deduction for A Y 2009-10?
In case we transfer the income to some other already existing STPI/SEZ unit can we claim the 10B deduction through that already existing unit.

13 May 2008 Dear Padmashri,

According to circular 01/2005 no deductions will be available after A.Y 2009-2010.

In any case there will be no deductions available u/s 10B of the Income Tax Act.
