16 October 2011 WCT is a tax which is payable by the contractor in lieu of VAT.

No TDS and WCT are different in nature.

16 October 2011 It is a option given to the contractor to opt wct instead of VAT.
In wct the dealer should pay the composite tax i.e. 4% in karnataka.
