Who can be a member of huf?

31 October 2012 As a creation of HUF every member of the family becomes members of HUF. my question is whether grandson become a member of huf created by his grandfather? And who will be the members of grandfathers HUF? please explain me as early as possible.

31 October 2012 Refer following e.g.

1. Mr. X Karta of X HUF.
Now following cannot be termed as member of HUF.
Father mother of Mr. X, Brothers and sisters of Mr. X, and any other relative which is not directly related to Mr. X for e.g uncle of Mr.X

Following can be termed as member of HUF
Wife of Mr.X, Son and daughters of Mr.X, Daughter in Law of Mr. X , grand son and grand daughter of Mr.X, even a grand daughter or son of a daughter of Mr X is a member of X HUF.

This is to be calculated maximum upto 4 limbs i.e. Mr X, Son of Mr.X, Grand Son and Great grand son.
