Hi! I want to know whether saturday and sunday is counted while calculating total leave taken during articleship period ?(Sat - sun is holiday in my organisation)

Depends on Leave Regulations of the Company you are working with. The following is the rule position in a PSU I worked with till recently
For Earned Leave and Sick Leave: If you attend either on Friday or Monday, your leave account will not be debited for Saturday and Sunday
If you do not attend on both Friday and Monday, both Saturday and Sunday will be counted for leave
For Casual Leave:
For Casual Leave purpose, Saturday and Sunday are not counted as leave

Sundays is working day if one of the nearest day is working day. like if you attended office on either Saturday or Monday then only it will be Working day and if you have not attended your principals office on both the nearest days then it will be a leave and not a holiday.

and if normally Saturday is also a holiday in your office then you should attend either on Friday or on Monday to get credit of Saturday and Sunday.
