A co. reimburse tel. expenses paid by its employee. Is it taxable or exempt? And if Co. provides fixed cash 500 per month for tel expenses. Then will it taxable?

Payment of fixed allowances taxable in the hands of employee. And reimbursement of expenses to employee is exempted in the hands of employee.

If company is collecting telephone bills as supporting then it amounts to reimbursement & also ceiling can be fixed for maximum payouts.
