What is more important good articleship or good ca final mar

15 January 2012 Hello Friends,

I am a IPCC passed student and currently i am doing articleship from a small level firm which provide only VAT related services and some income tax and service tax return filling works but there is no audit related works so a CA main work which is audit will not be done by me and i will not learn audit work but i can concentrate on CA final study and will got good marks in ca final examination
Then what should i do, please suggest me.

16 January 2012 I think it is better to do articleship in a medium sized firm. There you can maintain a balance between your study and working experience. Passing the exam with good mark is not enough. You should have thorough working experience. Even if some employers hire you based on the marks, and if you have little practical knowledge that will reflect in your work and the employer may become unsatisfied with you.

19 January 2012 But there is other way that i can learn the audit work after the CA final examination in just five to six months joining a big audit firm in a big city on a law salary package.
So please suggest me i am in big trouble.
