03 August 2010 I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHETHER WCT IS LIABLE ON JOB WORKS CONTRACT WHICH INCLUDED ONLY SERVICE & THE FIRM HAS OPTED LUMPSUM SHCEME IN VAT?

03 August 2010 No, since exclusive services contracts are not chargeable under VAT, irrespective of scheme of registration under VAT. However, liability under service tax has to be taken care of.
