i want to know about the votig rights of an equity shareholder in a public co.whether it is one vote for one share?

Yes .voting is subject the % of share holding .one person hold1% of shareholding and another person has 10% shareholding then the person who has 10 times value than the former shareholder. It is unlike the cooperative society where each member has only one vote irrespective of the shares
