A concern is transfering Methanol to its Sister concern with in Punjab which is used for manufacturing of urea as input .Urea being exempted from VAT. It may please be clarified whether VAT is chargeable on transfer of Methanol?.

It is not clear from your query from which State Methanol would be transferred and what would be the mode of transfer.

Kamal Sir , we are transfering methanol through tankers by road from Nangal(Punjab) to Bhatinda (Punjab), both are units of a Company.
