Dear Expertji, A person who was the director in a company, died in early 2011 for which company already filed form 32 enclosing his death certificate. company also appointed new director in his place. Now we have received mail from ROC for updation of DIN data according to PAN pertaining to the director who has died by filing DIN-4. My query is: 1) As the director is already died, still is it necessary to file DIN-4? 2) As his name is already removed what is the responsibility of the company in this regard.? Please guide.

Actually MCA is forwarding letter to everyone whose details of PAN and DIN vary.. Since the Director is no more...no need for the updation in this case...
