Should you purchase food stuff from unregistered dealer, firstly examine whether these are exempted or taxable under the KVAT. Should it be taxable you shall require to pay applicable tax on purchase and claim credit on sale.
On processing of food stuff which gives rise to taxable goods, you are required to charge CST @ 2% for sale against C form and at regular VAT rates for CST sales without C form. E sugam form may be prepared and issued for movement of goods from Karnataka to Kerala.
