27 November 2014 Hi,

I am a salaried person. My 26AS is showing 24 entries for 12 months, 12 entries have U status and other 12 have F status but TDS amount which is reflected is of 24 months. So is my company required to revise the return ? or I should consider only the F values, ignoring rest of the U values ?

27 November 2014 U means unmatched challans. incase the amount of TDS deducted from your salary by your employer matching with the amount in form 26AS as "F" status then you no need to worry, incase some amount comes under "U" status then ask your employer to check and correct the return

28 November 2014 Thanks Sir.

But I asked my employer to revise the return but he is saying that you just consider the F values. He refused to revise the return. I am in accounts team only so I want to convince my boss that he should revise the return. So how can I do that ? Can you pls tell me the consequences if he refuses to revise it.

28 November 2014 If the amounts under F values matching with your TDS deduction from your salary then no need of tds revision, you can check that first

28 November 2014 Ya sir, that is matching. So my boss is correct if he says that the revision of return is not required.

Thanks Sir for your valuable reply. :)
