transport allowance

02 April 2009 is there any limit/ range of the transport allowance which is being given to the varios category of employee in a private company.



(actually i m not asking about the exemption limit which is 800/- p.m.)

02 April 2009 You can pay any amount. Rs.800/- is the maximum exemption amount that is available to employee. Rest part of allowance shall be taxable in his hands.
