I have completed 8 months of articleship. The firm were I am undergoing articleship does not cover all areas. Also Payment of stipend is also delayed and I receive it only after asking for it many times . Moreover in a week my working hours sum-up to more than 35 hours(approx 45-50 Hrs/week). Can ,I avail transfer on these grounds? I have asked my principal to grant me the permission for transfer, but he is adamant and has refused to do so. Please guide me with the procedure to avail transfer of articles. Is there any other option available, if my principle still does not give me the permission.

Some many students are facing same problem like you i.e employer has rejected to sing on termination form and didn't allowed to terminate and irretating students and many of the problems incurring so many. However student also has a right to make complaint againest the employer if student facing any problems from the side of employer. So if you have dare and like to make complaint againest your employer and you are willing to make complaint on your employer on this grounds and you have any proof of work done by you(i.e articleship work done by you evidence like diary or any other documents) and also if possible and available the employer rejected proof to terminate please then reply i will respond your.
Conclusion: There is no any other way except making complaint on employer so if you will to make complaint on your employer then reply otherwise keep quite and continue with that employer no other option available.
However you are in the first year of articleship so you can easily get termination of your articleship without any restructions.

I think as per new rules you can take transfer in 1st year without any reason also... So you can take it... Its normal generally all principal do not agree in giving transfer.
