My son is now studying +2. He is very much interested in doing CA. He says after finishing his +2, he will take CPT to proceed further to CA. He is having the opinion that he need not study B.Com to persue CA. He says he will write CPT and join with the Auditor of his friend and start learning things and side by side studying CA.
Is it possible like that. Can somebody help me on this.

Yes your son is fully aware of the process. In my opinion he should get himself registered for the CPT while pursuing his +2 and appear for the exams after appearing for his +2. This way he will save time. While pursuing his CA studies he can sit for his graduation exams from any open university (if he is not willing to go to some college ) but generally students get enrolled with some college for their B.Com studies. Its no harm as he will get to know from like minded students.

Yes he can enroll for CPT after +2 & write CPT exam immediately after his +2 exam as he can save the time.
He cannot join any auditor firm soon after his CPT as now PCC is in no more in existence, instead he can register himself for IPCC and clear atleast 1st group of the same to be qualified to join any firm.
Graduation is not at all compulsory for persuing CA course, so if he is not interested in any regular graduation course convince him to do the same from any open university or through the course offered by ICAI.
