09 April 2015 Hi,

i got a notice from TRACES Stating short deduction of Rs.7438/- and interest of Rs.1282/- i deposited the chanllan, now i making correction return through RPU 4.2 version.

i added this challan of Rs.8720/- in total (7438 in income tax and 1282 in interest) and other side i also allocated Rs.7438/- into 8 different employee but while creating file it shows below error :

T-FV-3169 Sum of TDS/TCS-Interest Amount + TDS/TCS-Others(amount) + Fee Amount + Total Tax Deposit Amount as per deductee annexure is greater than Total of Deposit Amount as per 'Challan' / 'Transfer Voucher'.

please help to resolve this.

09 April 2015 while making a payment, you should select the code 400 instead of 200.

Interest shall be shown separately and should should not be added to the short deduction amount.
