We received notice for short deduction of TDS. But this short deduction was due to certificate u/s 197. I mentioned 10 digit Certificate No. while filing TDS Return but forgot to select flag "A" in "reason for short deduction"
Now if I download Consolidated file for correction, then TDS RPU software is not allowing me to select flag "A", because challan status is 'MATCHED'
My question is- Now how can I rectify my mistake with or without filing Correction Statement??? , or do I have to pay that amount which is shown as Short Deduction in TDS Notice...
