An employee has left the job in Dec'15 and as per his proposed investment declaration, his monthly TDS liability arises, deducted against his salary till Dec-15 and deposited timely. Now, he left without submitting his proof of investments and thus at the time of TDS of Mar-16, his TDS liability arises because of non-submission of investment proofs. The balance TDS liability has been deposited by employer in Mar-16.
Now, problem raises that how to show his details in TDS return Quarter 4 because "Due amount on which tax is deducted is zero" and perhaps return would not get validated until we show some due amount more than Rs. zero.

If employer has deposited tds of an employee then it is very clear that employer has not deduct any tds from employee's salary. so without paying tds deduction can't happened. so as practically you have to show as salary amount same as the tds deduction amount so that your file will be validated.

you have to increase the salary with the tax amount due to employer give the additional salary in shape of tax. you have to take the tax in his income and then you recalcilate the tax like if tax due in Rs. 5000/- then you have to increse the salary with Rs.5000/- and recalculate the with take the rs. 5000/- it incerese the tax amount. from rs. 5000/-
