Hello,An assesee is salaried employee.TDS has been deducted from his salary. He has filed return for the A.Y.2010-11 in which tax liability was Rs.15517 and TDS has been deducted Rs.16555 so he claimed refund Rs.1038/-.His TDS amount is not shown on 26AS Form.So is there any requirement for TDS return filling for viewing 26AS credit or he can directly claim refund to the assessing officer by Form 16.
If it is not showing in form 26AS then he can ask employer to revise their TDS return so as to reflect such amount, however he can file return to claim refund on the basis of form 16, chances of geting refund without it reflecting in the IT records are very thin.
