A private limited company taking car on hire charges for company use. TDS is applicable on Transport/Travelling contractor? (They gave to monthly fixed charges to contractor).

I am of the view that TDS is not applicable on transport payment which i am of the opinion that would cover FREIGHT payment only. Intention of the law is important.. hence in your case TDS shall be required to be done..
