29 March 2010 The software is a off the self software and is treated as goods.

This being a transaction in the nature of purchase/sale, TDS not attracted in my view.

Let us seek more opinion.

29 March 2010 TDS is applicable only on contract for service & not on contract for sale. Purchase of anti virus being a contrcat for sale, TDS will not be applicable.
