16 August 2010 If a company gives incentives to it's dealer in form of White goods instead of credit to their account, who is having tax liability in that case?

Please keep in view the following points while answering:
(a)It's not a gift or lucky draw
(b)It can be of any value based on sales done by the dealer
(c)White goods includes gold, silver, fridge, LCD, Car etc.

16 August 2010 Any Incentives in cash/kind received by dealer will be taxable as business income...
Market value on date of receipt will be taken.

22 August 2010 My view , TDS is not applicable and covered for this transaction. As told by expert this is business Income
