Tds - late payment - how to file along with interest

This query is : Resolved

10 January 2016 I have paid the TDS chalan 1 month after due date. I realize that I am supposed to pay interest. Mistakenly, I have paid both TDS & interest combined in the TDS column (instead of paying interest seperately under interest column) in the challan.
Now I am filing a regular tds return for this quarter. How can I file the return along with the interest by adjusting it from the tds amount (as I have not paid any interest separately in the chalan).
Where exactly should I enter OR include the interest amount for the deductee to avoid intimation ? (I use RPU 4.8 or clear TDS for return preparation)
OR should I pay a seperate chalan again now & file it along with regular return ?
OR should I wait for intimation & file a revised return?
Please advise me

10 January 2016 You already paid amount in tds column, while uploading challan you bifurcate Tds and interest in TDS return for Quarterly filing.

10 January 2016 I still can't understand this because, If that is so simple, why is interest column given seperately at the time of paying the chalan ?
why does these income tax people make it so complex?
one of my friend suggested that I can enter the exact TDS amount in the filing & leave out the excess amount of the chalan. He says that this will be automatically adjusted by traces.
Is this a valid method ?
Is there anyone who tried any of the above methods successfully.

10 January 2016 You have done mistake while remiting, I have given solution to your problem, don't practice same, when you pay in future you select appropriate column.
What ever solution given after we have come across mistake from our client while making payment.
