Tds deduction

27 March 2015 Dear expert
the professional fees was paid on 10/1/2015 for the month of december after deducting tds and deposited the same on 6/1/2015. plz tell me which date is to be shown in tds return whether 31/12/2014 or 10/1/2015

27 March 2015 Since the professional fees for December you can show the deduction date as 31/12/2014 and TDS challan as 6/1/2015 in the return. TDS need to deduct either accrual (Crediting account) or payment which ever is earlier
