15 July 2008 What can an assessee do if he does not receive TDS certificate from its bank before the due date for filing his tax return. Can he claim credit for the TDS in his return, or whether he will have to deposit self assessment tax and cliam a refund.

Is there any CBDT circular/ notofication etc on that?

30 September 2008 Please write to the Bank with copy to AO as there are penal provisions in cases of non issue of TDS certificate.

If it has been misplaced ,request for duplicate certificate from bank
