Tds applicable on rent paid by the firm to the partner?

21 January 2014 Sir/Madam, we understand TDS is to be deducted on Rent Paid/payable above Rs 1.80Lac per annum. Is it applicable, if the rent is paid by the Firm to its Partner. Please advice?
