02 June 2013 I want to know whether individual making single payment of Rs.36,000/- to contractor for renovation of his house, whether tds to be deducted from payment or not

02 June 2013 If the file of individual was not under Tax Audit during the last financial year he is not required to deduct TDS.

Say Tax Audit applicable in respect of FY 2012-13 the he is required to deduct TDS from FY 2013-14 onwards.
